Activity Dates: 09/08/2026 - 14/08/2026
Travel Dates: 08/08/2026 & 15/08/2026
Residents of European Union Member States and countries associated with the Erasmus+ programme
Youth work and education are constantly evolving, and today’s learning environments require innovative approaches that go beyond traditional methods. This raises an important question: how can we design learning processes that are more participatory, effective, and adapted to the needs of young people in a changing world?
This Training Course will bring together 16 participants from Erasmus+ programme countries for 6 days in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania. The course is grounded in non-formal education, experiential learning, and peer-to-peer exchange, providing a practical and collaborative space for professional development in youth work and education.
A key focus of the training is the exploration of new learning and teaching methods and approaches. Participants will engage with innovative educational practices that enhance participation, creativity, and active engagement, while reflecting on how these methods can be adapted to different youth work contexts. Rather than replacing existing approaches, the course encourages participants to expand their methodological toolkit and rethink how learning can be designed and facilitated more effectively.
In addition, the training will address essential aspects of project management and back-end organisational procedures. Participants will explore how well-structured planning, coordination, and implementation processes contribute to the success and sustainability of youth projects. Topics will include workflow design, internal communication, documentation, and practical tools for managing international cooperation.
Throughout the course, participants will work in interactive sessions, group tasks, and practical simulations that support learning by doing. They will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, develop new ideas, and collaborate on improving both educational practices and organisational processes within youth work.
By the end of the training, participants will have strengthened their competences in educational design, facilitation, and project management, equipping them with practical tools and approaches to implement in their own local and international youth work contexts.
Objectives
O1: To enhance the competences of 16 participants in applying innovative learning and teaching methods by introducing and experimenting with new non-formal education approaches that can be adapted to diverse youth work contexts.
O2: To strengthen participants’ skills in project management and organisational development by exploring effective back-end procedures, including planning, coordination, communication, and documentation within youth projects.
O3: To support the development of more structured, efficient, and impactful youth work practices by enabling participants to design and test practical tools and approaches that improve both educational delivery and project implementation.
