Activity Dates: 08/03/2026 - 12/03/2026
Travel Dates: 07/03/2026 - 13/03/2026
Residents of European Union Member States and third countries not associated to Erasmus+
This 5-day Training Course brings together 24 youth workers to strengthen the quality and impact of Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges.
While Erasmus+ offers strong opportunities for youth work development, many exchanges still struggle with coherent learning design, meaningful impact, inclusion and participation quality, and the effective follow-up and use of results after the mobility. Youth workers often need additional competences to structure an exchange as a clear learning journey, choose and adapt non-formal methods with purpose, and make learning outcomes visible and relevant to young people’s real needs.
During the course, participants will explore impact-oriented design, quality-driven activity planning, reflection and learning recognition (Youthpass), and international cooperation—supporting their professional development and contributing to stronger Erasmus+ youth exchange practice long-term.
Objectives
O1: Increase participants’ understanding of quality and impact in Erasmus+ youth exchanges by clarifying impact as observable change and exploring the dimensions and mechanisms that support it.
O2: Develop participants’ ability to design youth exchanges as learning journeys by linking young people’s needs to competence-based learning outcomes, coherent learning steps, and suitable non-formal methods.
O3: Strengthen participants’ capacity to select and adapt non-formal methods intentionally, ensuring coherence between learning outcomes, participation quality, inclusion, and debriefing as a learning mechanism.
O4: Improve participants’ competence to make learning visible through meaningful reflection, evidence/indicators of competence development, and Youthpass support as a learning recognition process.
Learning Process
We learn through practice. Expect interactive sessions, teamwork, simulations, and real-case workshops, mixed with reflection and peer feedback. Together, we’ll also co-design the Impact Toolbox for Youth Workers—a set of ready-to-use methods, tools and templates you can apply in your own work.
Each training day includes 4 sessions (90 minutes each), with two coffee breaks: one between Session 1 & 2, and another between Session 3 & 4. Meals follow a clear rhythm: breakfast from 08:00, lunch at 13:00, and dinner at 19:00.
The sessions will be active and content-rich—expect a strong mix of knowledge, practice, and participation—so you’ll leave with concrete tools and outcomes you can transfer directly into future youth work.
